Hopefully these pictures speak for themselves! Casey is wearing a jumper that says CUTIE, which couldn't be more appropriate. Jacob and Josh, who are also major cuties, (and Casey in Josh's front carrier) all rode the merry go round at the Zoo this Saturday. Another fun trip!

Casey's first bath and other happenings

We're into week 3 and still enjoying a very happy, sleepy, mellow baby. This weekend Casey's bellybutton fell off so we were able to give her her first "official" bath. Nana did the honors, while Jacob looked on and Kathy took pictures. Though Casey normally hates to be naked (ie cold) she loved her first bath.

Casey seems to have a million looks. I think she looks like Josh and Bogie from the eyebrows up, and her eyes seem like Smith or Newman eyes to me. The nose is still up for grabs, but the mouth is pure Renshaw (it's the same mouth that Kathy, Jacob and Kathy's Grandma Louise have). In this picture she also looks a bit Indian, I think. Maybe it's all that dark hair!

This is a beautiful picture of Casey taking a nap on Josh's chest. Nana Panush captured this before Josh flew off to Huntsville/Nashville to scout out our new digs and Jacob's new school.

This is another picture of Jacob at the zoo. He is sitting on Josh's shoulders. He was very photogenic that day! We all loved watching the polar bears.

jacob and the dragon

On Saturday, May 5th, Jacob, Nana, Papa, Kathy, Josh and Casey all went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. Though we arrived during the "members only" time before 10:00 AM, we were still in a large crowd of people paying homage to the Kimodo Dragon, out for the first time after a long winter. Imagine our surprise on Sunday morning when Larry opened up the Region section of the Post Gazette to see Jacob looking intently down on the dragon from the window. Though we took issue with the caption (A face only a mother could love [referring to the dragon, we presume]), it was a great way to start our Sunday.
