Beautiful Afternoon in the Laurel Highlands with the Knapps

Peggy and Jim Knapp invited us to their cabin to spend the day with them and some of their lovely friends. We had wonderful food, company, weather, and play! Casey and Jacob especially loved the vintage croquet set. I also snapped a picture of the Knapp's rustic fireplace mantle!

Here are the Fireworks!

Married for Five Years---Fireworks and Baseball!

We celebrated our 5th year anniversary at a Pirates game on August 16th. It was a gorgeous night, not too hot, and not at all chilly. We parked in the city and walked across one of the many yellow steel bridges that connect the city to the North Side. We had box seats that gave us access to a very cool and exclusive area of the park; our great seats also came with a spectacular view of the city and the game. The Pirates lost---but the stadium was sold out, in large part because it was fireworks night, and we Pittsburghers love us some fireworks. We could have done without the accompanying Country Rock show, but Kathy especially loved the fireworks display. Before it got dark we met a nice couple who took our picture. By the way, we couldn't have done it without Boette, who took care of the kids for us.
