Jacob's Birthday Flight over Pittsburgh

The picture on the bottom right captures how Jacob spent most of our flight time on Saturday afternoon. He stayed glued to the view out the window, pointing out times when he say "moke" (smoke) and "vagas" (waters). He seemed a little frighted for the first 30 seconds after take off, but afterwards he really settled down. He was extremely sad when he had to get out of the plane, and even more sad when we had to leave the airport.

In the second picture (above) our pilot, Shannon, is holding Jacob so that Jacob could play with the steering gear. She worked hard to make him happy and comfortable. She brought him a cushion so he could see out the window, and she let him play with the dashboard for a long time when we were on the ground.

How cool is that? Not many two year olds get a plane ride over Pittsburgh for their birthday! Yeah JACOB! When you get your pilot license you can swoop down here and pick up Grandma!
