Cutting our own tree in a drought year

We dressed in holiday attire and headed out to a Christmas Tree farm near Murfreesboro TN. Our project was twofold: take a family photo and cut our own Christmas tree. The pickings were unusually slim this year following TN's record drought. I was dismayed by the selection of white pines for cutting. But Jacob was pretty excited about us cutting down the tree, so it seemed worth it at the time. But when we got home we realized our little tree had been spray painted! We managed to get a nice family photo with the help of a kind stranger. My main regret was that I didn't get a photo of Jacob trying to pee near the entrance to the tree farm, right next to a small artificial tree that sang "jingle bells." PS: the family photo is not in this montage. We're saving it for our xmas card!

Spray painted?? What a rip off. If it wasn't so far, I would have taken it back. But it is a pretty bad year for a drought, but the should tell you first. Cannot wait for the Christmas Card!!
