Jacob, Jackson, Violet and the Worm

This weekend Josh went to LA to visit his brothers, James and Michael. So Jacob and I drove to State College where we got to see cutie baby Violet for the first time. She is super sweet! She slept a lot and ate a lot and we got to see her smile, too! On Saturday it was Amy's birthday, and we celebrated with fresh vegetables and peach pie. On Sunday we went down to Millbrook Marsh and Jackson found a worm. Jacob was fascinated by everything Jackson did and said. As you can see, in this picture he can't take his eyes of the worm!

Jacob and the Ants

Today after school Jacob and I sat outside on our front porch steps and Jacob chased ants. I'd rather not say too much about what he does with the ants when he gets them, but let's just say that it doesn't end too well for the ants. In the top picture Jacob is saying "I pinched it."

Two of Jacob's Great Teachers

We recently found out that two of Jacob's great teachers, Jennifer (top) and Clare would not be moving up with the Young Toddlers as they transition to the Older Toddler classroom. We are *VERY* sad about this, and so we took these pictures so that we could have a keepsake to remember them by. Jennifer and Clare are two of the most important people in Jacob's life! We will all miss them very much.

Last night (Tuesday, July 11) Andy, Jae and Emma came over for homemade burritos. They brought cupcakes for the kids. Emma looks good in blue-green frosting! The second picture is Jacob and Josh at one of our favorite playgrounds. The picture at the bottom is called "Jacob missed his nap."

"Cheers" tattoo

As many of you know, Jacob likes to "Cheers" with everything: cups of milk, bare feet, and bellies. For example he will say "Cheers feet" and tthen wants anyone with a barefoot to touch their foot to his. Here Boette and Jacob both got NASA temporary tatoos on their bellies so they could "Cheers" their tattoos! Another great morning with Jessica and Boette for Jacob!

Jacob's action packed summer

The top two pictures are from the Saturday that was 10 days before the all star games. We got a tip that Jay Jay the Jet plane was greetind kids outside the Pirates stadium...but we couldn't find the plane. Jacob played in an inflated jumping area, but got scared and had to come out. In the third picture Jacob is dressed in his swim diapers to go swimming at the Highland Park pool with Jessica and Boette. They had a blast! The last picture is Jacob surfing on one of the slides we go to almost every weekend at the zoo.
