jacob's gingerbread house 2006

Jacob's Nana (Ann), his mom's cousin, Cody, and Jacob built a gingerbread house on December 21st. As usual, Jacob enjoyed eating the candy on the gingerbread house almost as much as putting it together. Nana's architectural skills were tested to the limit, however, when the roof pieces kept sliding off of the house. Kathy tried to help, but failed utterly, when one piece of the roof fell off and broke. On the plus side, Jacob has been eating the roof, a few pieces at a time. Next year Nana pledged to let the house dry and settle before decorating it. Jacob, however, has been undettered from his joyful feelings about the house. He likes to point to it and say: "I made that!"

Jacob's Christmas Legos

Josh had to work all day today so Jacob and I decided to open JUST ONE of his Christmas gifts from Grandma Gregson. It was a bin of legos! Legos have really changed since I was little. In this set there was a tree! a lot of windows and doors, some wheels, some picket fences, and some round legos! Jacob did really well with them; he made this little landscape with very little help from me!

Jacob's mom turns 40!

On Saturday, December 16th about 15 of us gathered to celebrate my 40th birthday. Pictured here are the brave souls that stayed the latest, inlcuding Keilan, Bob, Josh, Dan, Jessica, Boette and Greg. This picture was taken with the new camera that many of my friends chipped in for. THANK YOU! I love it. Check out how good we all look in the ambient lighting!
