Jacob has a new cousin!
Late Saturday night on March 12th Brenda called to say she was in labor and that she was going to the hospital. Later on Sunday, March 13th, around 5:30 PM Thihan called to say that Jacob had a new baby cousin! His first name will be Burmese, and his last name will be Newman! Here are some pictures of the new baby and his parents!
Last Weekend
Last weekend we invited Silas and his dad, Mike, to come over and play. Jacob and Silas drew pictures and played with trucks and planes. The grown ups laid around and drank wine and watched them play. It was fun! On Sunday afternoon Jacob and Mama walked to a new park in the jogging stroller. The weather was eerily warm---72 degrees---but still no leaves on the trees!

Eating Raisins and Walnuts in Cute Jammies
This weekend Jacob helped me make more "empakes." He likes to stand on the stool next to the Kitchen Aid and watch the blade go round and round. He also likes to taste the batter. In these pictures I gave Jacob some walnuts and raisins in order to try and distract him from "tasting" the batter I was making. Jacob also has a new funny habit. He loves to flush the toilet in our bedroom. He likes to find bits of tissue paper and other small bits of garbage to flush down the toilet. On Sunday morning he found 7-10 different items to flush. It's his favorite new game!

Empakes
Last weekend we got about four inches of snow, so Jacob and I brought sleds over to Andy, Jae and Emma's house. At Andy and Jae's we met Walter, the almost four year old son of Amy and Brent. We dragged the kids in the sleds through Squirrell Hill and ended up at this bagel and pancake place for breakfast. Jacob loved the pancakes (he calls them "empakes") and he's been talking about Walter and Emma every since. It was really fun to bundle Jacob up in his new snow clothes which he inherited from Amy Greenberg and her son, Jackson.
