Avert your eyes, Seattle family!
Thanks to friends Dan and Erica, Casey can show her support for her favorite football team, even though we don't live in Pittsburgh this year. We were happy to see Pittsburgh off to a good start this fall; their Superbowl rematch with the luckless Seahawks should put the Seattlites griping to rest...but it probably won't! Of course the Patriots look better and more machine like than ever before, so we'll see. I hope Nana and Papa aren't too angry with us for these cute Steeler Baby pics.
Our wonderful week with Nancy
Nancy Gregson, Joe's wife and our sister-in-law, was kind enough to spend her week of fall vacation from teaching middle school math with our family. We had a wonderful time! Nancy joined us for our New Leaf field trip to the pumpkin patch, at which Jacob played in a huge bin of dried corn. Josh, Nancy and I also got in the Halloween spirit with a ghost themed tour of downtown Nashville. This last pic is of the Capitol building, where apparently the ghosts of the feuding architects who built it can still be heard hashing it out!
Getting Ready For Halloween, Part I
Last weekend, when Josh was in Pittsburgh, Jacob and Casey and I traveled to Grandma and Papa's where Nancy made this cute cat pumpkin for cutey Casey to pose next to! Then, when Nancy was here last week, Jacob and Nancy baked and decorated these awesome Halloween cookies. I did something I have never done before in my life: I BOUGHT A COOKIE DECORATING KIT! I didn't regret it: we had a blast decorating and eating these professional looking cookies! We passed them out as party favors at the brunch we held for the New Leaf preschool on Sunday!
